Social Justice

From our beginning, SJU’s covenant has guided us in our “search for Christian meaning in life … through creative involvement in Christian social action.” It was only natural that we would be founding members of People Acting Together in Howard (PATH). As a multi-racial, multi-faith, non-partisan residents’ organization, rooted in local congregations and organizations, PATH is Howard County’s leader in community organizing, leading the fight for broad-based equity, diversity, and inclusion of all people. Pastor Mary Ka Kanahan currently serves as Co-chair of PATH.
